Equipment
I'm often asked about my opinion on bitless bridles vs. a bridle with a bit.
Here is my opinion: It depends on the training. Equipment, in my mind, is there to help with the training. Training should not be based on the choice of equipment (if that makes sense).
Correct work is what counts for me, either with a bit or bit-less. I've posted pics of horses I train in bitless bridles, double bridles, cavesons and snaffle bridles. Again, Classically correct work is what matters, either bitted or bitless.
Personally I choose equipment for the individual - taking into consideration: *long term and short term goals, *owner's preferences, *age and *conformation of the horse, *horse's level of training *age of the owner, *owner's level of experience, *shape of the horse's mouth as well as *results of previous training and *horse's response to the equipment

A particular piece of equipment is something I often choose to use only for a period of time, in order to reach a particular goal. I prefer my own horses, over time, to be educated to all the equipment I use.
