EVALUATION OF YOUR HORSE (Part of OTS Program) 19 Novemb

Horses are not naturally built to carry weight. Therefore, if we want to ride them, we need to prepare them to carry us properly. Horse are asymmetrical, just like humans, they are left- or right handed, both in the front legs and the hind legs. Also, the horse is bent to the left or right in its body and it carries more weight on the front legs than on the hind legs. This causes an uneven distribution of the weight over the four legs. Old injuries can compound the problem. When the rider does not realize this and correct these imbalances, it can lead to problems.

Why train like this?

  • Do you want the best for your horse?

  • How much money do you spend on Physio and or Chiro?

  • Do you have problems with saddle fit?

  • Do you realize that many of these problems can be minimized by personalized exercises for your horse?

What is it about?

  • You will receive a program of individualized gymnastic exercises that will enable you to minimize your horse's natural imbalances.

  • You will be able to develop your horse towards a soft, cooperative riding horse.

  • You will gain more insight in how riding problems are created, and learn to fix and prevent these problems.

  • With this training which is a bit like physiotherapy, you can reduce and help prevent back problems and other related injuries in your horse.

  • And from that you can take it another step forward: You can develop your horse’s talents to their maximum.

  • Your horse will develop physically: it will become more supple and easier to maneuver, it will become stronger and will be easier and more able to collect.

  • Your horse will develop mentally and emotionally: your horse will become stronger, more balanced and will show less resistance and stress.

  • Your horse's bond with you will strengthen.

For the rider - OTS and ITS

To enable the equestrian enthusiast to maximize their ability to do what they love, longer and better.

Why ?

Traditionally riding coaches spend their effort training and schooling horses, the riders posture, alignment( form ) and fitness need to be addressed away from the horse as the rider needs to address their fitness level and imbalances to help with the direct and notable relationship between both the horse's and the rider's physical strength and fitness. By increasing rider fitness, strength and balance, the horse will be able focus its strength and free up its posture, rather than trying to correct any issues that are being passed down to it through the saddle from the rider.

What is OTS and ITS?

OTS is a physical training program designed for the modern rider that uses results from two evaluation processes to identify any weaknesses that a rider may have when in the saddle. The program then addresses these weaknesses with the use of fitness and strength training.

The two evaluation components take into account rider physical and rider equestrian fitness.

 OTS Rider Physical Fitness – The physical fitness, alignment and strength of the rider will be evaluated.

 ITS Rider Equestrian Fitness – The identification of weaknesses and strengths of the rider while on the horse.

The results of the evaluations are married together to formulate a training program tailored to each rider and will also have a large focus on alignment and core strength of the rider.

We invite you to join us if you wish to improve your comfort and performance on your horse.
